Viking Speedway Results - May 25, 2008 Heat ~ 3rd place Feature ~ 3rd place Josh started the 3rd heat in the 8th position. On the start he moved up to the 5th position and got another position on the next lap. With 2 laps to go he moved up to 3rd. The top three with the top two making the point invert was the 6, 53, and the 52. The race was run with no cautions.
With feature time rolling around the 52 was starting in the 9th position. On the first start he jumped to the inside and got up to the fourth. Just as they came to complete the first lap the 3b spun out in turn 3 bringing out the caution. On the complete restart Josh jumped to the inside and moved up to 4th by the end of the first lap. He kept working on the 1r for 3rd and finally got him with 11 laps to go. Then with 10 laps to go the 23 spun out in turn 4 collecting one other car bringing out the caution. Then on the next restart the 9k started a multi car wreck in turn 1. On this restart Josh set his sights on the 14x then with 9 laps to go he got past him, and just as they finished the 9th lap the 34 caused a caution in turn 4. The officials made the decision to cut the laps remaining from 9 to 5. On the restart Josh set off to get the 07 but with 4 laps to go the 2g got by moving the 52 back to 3rd position. He maintained the position until the end. The top 5 were 07, 2g, 52, 7a, 6. Viking Speedway Results - May 24, 2008 Feature ~ 3rd place Josh started the 1st heat in the third spot. On the start he lost a spot to the 34. Josh worked hard to move up and picked up the 3rd spot when he past the 1r with 3 laps to go. He then set his sights on the 14m and gave him all he could handle, but could get no further. The race was run from green to checkered without any cautions. The top two made the point invert for the feature with a chance at the pole. The top 3 finishers were the 34, 14m, and the 52.
